Earthy Organics started out in 2017 under the name "Lilo's Sugar Scrubs" with the mission to create sustainable skincare that is both accessible and affordable. In 2019, we re-branded and decided to call ourselves Earthy Organics. That is when we started making not just scrubs, but also soap that is safe enough to use on sensitive skin, and always tested by our shop owner before being put on the shelf.
Our owner, Kacee Leatherdale, has always had sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and allergic reactions. For years, she searched for products that are good to use on her highly sensitive skin that are also free of harsh chemicals and irritating agents. The search wasn't always easy and products were expensive so she decided to create her own.
"I am very selective about what I put in and on my body. The skin is the largest organ and absorbs the products you use into the blood stream and lymphatic system. For me, it's always been really important that the products I'm using on my skin are not only good to use on my sensitive skin, but also good for my body. I wouldn't put anything on my body that I wouldn't eat. No harsh chemicals, no palm oil, just natural, sustainable, clean products that won't cause irritation or reaction. I personally test every single product I put on the shelf, and I continue to use these products everyday in my own skincare routine because that is how confident I am in them." - Kacee
